The Pyramid is a symbol of ancient Egypt. There are more than 25 discovered pyramids in Cairo, but most people know only the famous Great Giza pyramids. However, there are other beautiful pyramids. You can check them out too, during your visit to Cairo.

 

1 – Bent Pyramid:

The Bent Pyramid is located in the Dahshour area, 40 km south of Cairo, also known as Sneferu pyramid because it was built in the Old Kingdom,, Python Sneferu.

The Bent Pyramid is a unique example of how early pyramids developed when they discovered the correct angel for pyramid shape was 43 degrees not 54 degrees. You can enter inside the pyramid but need good fitness and no heart or back bone issues.

 

2- The Red Pyramid:

Another beautiful pyramid in the Dahshour collection and the largest pyramid is the Dahshour area. It is called the Red Pyramid because it is built from lime red stones, also called the North pyramid. You can enter inside the Red Pyramid but make sure you don’t have any problem with your back or heart.

 

3- The black pyramid

It is located in the Dahshour area, back to the middle kingdom of Egypt, known as the pyramid of King Amenemhat III.

 

4- The pyramid of Djoser

The famous pyramid of Saqqara area, also known as the Step Pyramid of Djoser or Saqqara pyramid. Djoser’s pyramid was a revelation in pyramid designs by engineer Imhotep. You can enter inside the pyramids and see the four rooms below.

 

5- The Pyramid of Unas

Unas’s Pyramid is a simple pyramid in the Saqqara area belonging to the pharaoh Unas, the ninth and final king of the Fifth Dynasty. Don’t miss getting inside this pyramid.

 

 

 

6- Giza Pyramids

The Giza pyramids are the most developed version of the pyramids. There are groups of pyramids there, the three big pyramids belonged to kings Kufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and another three pyramids for their wives.

 

 

You can do a day tour to the Giza Pyramids only or combine the Squadrum with it, which will be compressed if you limit time.
